My roots in the High Country go back to day one — born in Boone, an App State alum, and in 2020 I planted my roots in the High Country for good — I'm never leaving.
The Story
From summer camps to sold signs.
I was born in Boone, grew up in Fayetteville, and graduated from Appalachian State in 2002. My family has had a home in Valle Crucis since 1978 — the High Country has always been my constant, no matter where life took me.
For nearly two decades I worked in the non-profit summer camp industry, running programs across the Southeast. In March 2020, I had to cancel camp because of Covid. I was turning 40, I was standing in the mountains, and something clicked. I decided I wasn't going to leave the High Country again. For the first time in my life, I was going to make sure my roots were firmly planted here.
That world taught me what matters: genuine relationships, showing up when you say you will, and putting people first. When I made the switch to real estate, I brought all of that with me. I joined Blue Ridge Realty & Investments because they share those values — a locally rooted brokerage that knows these mountains because they live in them.
When I'm not helping clients find their mountain home, you'll find me fly fishing on the Watauga or New River, photographing the ridgelines at dawn, or exploring some back road in Ashe County I haven't been down yet — usually with my sidekick Luna right beside me.
